The Court holds it has inherent jurisdiction to amend the Roll of Solicitors, including to change a solicitor's name; such amendments are judicial acts requiring an originating summons with the Law Society and Secretary for Justice as parties, and the Court may impose conditions (eg. public notice) at its discretion, but routine newspaper advertisement is not mandatory in all cases.
