Conviction quashed because the statutory requirement of corroboration under s.130(2) was not satisfied and the jury's inconsistent treatment of the complainants' evidence made the conviction unsafe.

Because the trial record was totally illegible and there was no statement of findings of fact and reasons under section 114(b), the appellate court could not ascertain what occurred at the trial; given the inability to determine the fairness of the hearing, the conviction was unsafe and had to be quashed and the sentence set aside (with immediate release), rather than ordering a retrial in the circumstances described.
