Conviction was quashed because prosecution failed to disclose a contemporaneous Immigration telephone recording that was relevant to contested credibility issues; non‑disclosure rendered the conviction unsafe. In the interests of justice and having balanced public interest and prospects of conviction on retrial, the appropriate remedy was to order a retrial and to adjourn sentencing.
