Recitals in the powers of attorney limited the attorney's authority to management and securing the proprietary interest described and did not authorize the 7th defendant to mortgage the appellants' property to secure loans for his personal benefit; the bank, knowing the loans were for the 7th defendant and that the properties were owned by absent donors, was on notice that the attorney was acting beyond his authority and therefore could not enforce the mortgage against the appellants; appeal allowed and judgment against appellants set aside.
