The court set aside the relevant parts of its earlier decision and order because there was no evidence of the required consultation or practical mechanism between the Hong Kong High Court and the Supreme People\u2019s Court to permit substituted service by public announcement under the Arrangement; substituted service by post was refused because the last known address was shown not to be current and therefore unlikely to bring the amended writ to the defendant's notice; accordingly the appeal was dismissed and both the public-announcement and additional post-service applications were refused.
