ALBERT WOU v. THE MEDICAL COUNCIL OF HONG KONG
- Citation
- ALBERT WOU v. THE MEDICAL COUNCIL OF HONG KONG
- Court
- Court of Appeal
- Case number
- CACV35/1987
The Court held that the phrase "misconduct in any professional respect" in s.21(1)(b) is not confined to misconduct occurring in the actual practice of medicine; it extends to conduct outside practice by a registered medical practitioner which, by its character and seriousness, tends to bring disgrace on the profession, and on the facts the Council was entitled to find the appellant guilty on that basis and to impose the disciplinary order.
