Leave to appeal refused because on the facts the complainant plainly sought to detain the applicant for a suspected arrestable offence so the s101 issue did not arise, and the magistrate properly rejected self-defence, finding the defendant struck to resist a lawful arrest and used excessive force, so no reasonably arguable ground of substantial or grave injustice existed.
