On the facts alleged (control of premises, introducing girls to customers, offering services, bringing a girl to a customer and directing her entry) there was sufficient evidence to constitute, prima facie, exercise of control, direction or influence under section 138 and therefore the magistrate erred in finding there was no case to answer; the matter must be returned for trial to proceed.
