The offence of possessing a prohibited weapon under s4 Weapons Ordinance requires proof that the defendant appreciated the general nature of the object; if an honest belief that the object was innocent is asserted the prosecution must disprove that belief beyond reasonable doubt; applying this rule the court found the prosecution proved knowledge and upheld the conviction.
