The court held that the prosecution need only prove basic intent (i.e. that respondents intended to perform the acts constituting the actus reus) and that each respondent, having received adequate and repeated notice of the Amended Injunction Order and bailiff and police warnings, intentionally remained in the area such that their presence and conduct were inherently likely to and in fact interfered with the due administration of justice; accordingly all respondents were guilty of criminal contempt.
