Although the judge's general approach to reasons under the District Court Ordinance was acceptable, he failed to address the crucial question whether the accepted evidence established a single, central conspiracy as alleged rather than a series of separate bribery acts or sub-conspiracies; that failure was fatal to the convictions and required them to be quashed (conviction against D.6 also unsupported by sufficient evidence).
