Because the plaintiff acted in person for the stay application and Siu & Company only filed a notice to act late without demonstrating any work done after coming on record, the court disallowed the claimed solicitor and legal assistant fees and assessed the plaintiff's costs for opposing the stay application at HK$5,000.
