The 1st Claimant retained ownership and title to the furniture (including the Samsung TVs); the 2nd Claimant was under both tortious and contractual duties to return the chattels at the end of the tenancy; accordingly the seized furniture is ordered returned to the 1st Claimant and the 2nd Claimant is ordered to pay the 1st Claimant's costs on an indemnity basis assessed at HK$100,000, with the 1st Claimant entitled to recover Applicant's costs previously paid (HK$15,300) as costs in the cause between the claimants.
