The defendant breached the common law duty of care by failing to provide instruction or training to use the edge of the cab extender as a handhold and by failing to warn drivers not to use the spare tyre for access; however, the plaintiff was principally at fault and guilty of 60% contributory negligence, and having regard to prior employees' compensation the plaintiff will make no net recovery; plaintiff ordered to pay defendant's costs.
