The evidence (timing of phone calls, immediate large purchases, family relationship, lack of prior trading and market concentration) provided an ample basis for the trial judge's inference that the applicants traded with the benefit of price sensitive information; the alternative innocent inferences were rejected as not compelling, so there was no substantial and grave injustice and leave to appeal was refused.
