Despite erroneous reliance on a post‑seizure admission (A11), sufficient admissible evidence (taking the IBM notebook from employer premises, retaining it, allowing his wife to use it and failing to return it) established appropriation, dishonesty and intention to permanently deprive; therefore the conviction for theft of the IBM notebook is safe and is upheld.
