The Court of Appeal concluded the deputy judge largely applied correct principles but erred in under-providing the 'cushion' and in aspects of the accommodation award relative to the wife’s former lifestyle; on that basis the appeal was allowed in part and the wife's capital credit was increased from HK$20,000,000 to HK$22,600,000 and the immediate payment increased from HK$300,000 to HK$2,900,000; other discretionary awards were left intact as within the generous ambit of reasonable disagreement.
