The Royal Court of Jersey allowed an amendment to plead pre-judgment interest, entered summary judgment on admitted quantum, set interest rates, and ordered payment into court pending appeal.
The Tribunal found Christopher Allinson was wrongly dismissed and awarded two weeks’ net pay. His remaining claims and the Respondent’s counterclaim were dismissed.
The Tribunal rejected claims for constructive unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal, but awarded ÂŁ1,872 in agreed holiday pay.

Bespoke Treasury Services Limited v Docherty [2020] JRC 214 (15 October 2020)
The Royal Court set aside an Employment Tribunal default judgment and sent the case back because the unfair dismissal qualifying period had not been properly addressed.
The Tribunal held that the claimant was an employee throughout his work for the respondent and had 5 years’ continuous employment, so his claims could proceed.
