The defendants failed to discharge the evidential burden to prove the authenticity and validity of the disputed Tenancy Agreement dated 22.04.2013; plaintiffs proved tenancy expired on 31.12.2018 and any purported extension after that date is void; accordingly defendants' counterclaim for renovation costs and loss of income is dismissed.
