The amendments were made before pleadings closed and were properly served in compliance with Aturan 20 Kaedah 3(1); they were bona fide, did not change the nature of the action and did not cause irremediable prejudice because defendants retain the right to amend their defence and cross-examine witnesses at trial; accordingly the defendants' application to strike the amendments was dismissed and costs of RM2000 awarded to the plaintiff.
