The Registrar has discretion under O.71 r.5(1) ROC 2012 to require a Sijil Faraid or other documents when processing applications for letters of administration; accordingly the contested applications are to be heard and disposed of by the Registrar who shall exercise that discretion on the merits of each case rather than this Court imposing a universal rule.
