Section 82 of the Co-operative Societies Act 1993 confers jurisdiction on the Commission but does not oust the civil courts' jurisdiction; where plaintiffs properly plead causes of action for breaches of statutory and fiduciary duties and seek reliefs (declaratory and injunctive) beyond the Commission's remedial powers, the High Court may assume jurisdiction and refuse a strike out under O.18 r.19(1)(a).
