Applying s.76 LRA the court held that joint registered ownership entitles the petitioner to half the proceeds of sale of the 1st property (calculated from the SPA sale price RM420,000), that the 2nd property acquired during marriage is a matrimonial asset and should be equitably divided 50:50 taking into account non‑monetary contributions and duration of marriage, and that an apportionment of the respondent’s EPF of 20% is equitable to protect the child’s welfare.
