The High Court held the Sessions Court's sentences were within lawful limits and not manifestly excessive; however, where two convictions related to the same transaction the sentences should run concurrently. Accordingly the appeal was allowed in part by ordering sentences in AA-42JSKH-1-01/2023 and AA-42JSKH-3-01/2023 to run concurrently while upholding the remaining sentences, with no net reduction to the overall imprisonment term beyond the concurrency adjustment.
