Plaintiffs failed to prove on a balance of probabilities that they were the registered owners at the time the lease was executed on 15 August 2022 and failed to produce documentary evidence of payment to support ownership; under the Torrens system registered title is conclusive and absent proof to the contrary the lease transaction is unenforceable (and possibly a sham); accordingly the plaintiffs did not discharge the burden of proof and their claim is dismissed.
