Although prosecution proved physical proximity, chain of custody and chemical identity/weight of the drugs, the defence produced credible, corroborated evidence from a third party (SD3/Burn) who admitted ownership of the car and that the drugs were his; that admission created a reasonable doubt on the elements of possession and knowledge as to the accused and, after full consideration of prosecution and defence evidence, the court was not satisfied of guilt beyond reasonable doubt and therefore acquitted the accused.
