The High Court held that the Sessions Court ruling was final and therefore appealable, but on the merits confirmed the Sessions Court's conclusion that the default judgment dated 8.09.2017 lapsed and ceased to have effect automatically when the originating suit (Saman 2016) was withdrawn on 12.12.2017; accordingly the plaintiff's appeal was dismissed and the default judgment is no longer enforceable.
