Service was properly effected by leaving the writ and statement of claim at the Defendant's registered office and acknowledged by the Company Secretary in accordance with Order 62 r 4(1)(a); the Defendant failed to exhibit any proposed defence and notices of assessment rendered the tax due and payable, therefore no ground existed to set aside the judgment in default.
