The court accepted the plaintiff's expert evidence that the left foot deformity is permanent and that the plaintiff, a 14‑year‑old active child, requires custom orthotic shoes notwithstanding surgery; the court also found that both sides' experts agreed on the need for future surgery and that the Defendant failed to prove reliable free government provision. Accordingly the court awarded RM265,600 for custom orthotic shoes (taking post‑operative reduction into account) and RM15,000 for future deformity correction surgery.
