Order 71 r.5(1) of the Rules of Court 2012 vests the Registrar with discretion to require a Sijil Faraid as "any other information and/or documents"; therefore the court remitted the pending applications to the Registrar/SAR to be heard and disposed of on their merits under the ROC 2012 and declined to declare the practice of requesting a Sijil Faraid unlawful.
