Order 71 r.5(1) ROC 2012 gives the Registrar discretion to require any other information or documents (including a Sijil Faraid) when processing applications for letters of administration; therefore the registry may lawfully require the Sijil Faraid but must exercise that discretion based on the circumstances of each case; the present matters are to be heard and disposed of by the Registrar accordingly.
