The High Court held that the appellant's journey to his village was sufficiently 'directly connected' to his employment under s.24(1)(b) ESSA because work commitments obliged the timing and routing of his travel; the 60-day appeal period under s.91(3) begins when the decision is notified to the appellant (22/2/2023), thus the Notice/Form 1 filed 19/4/2023 was within time; preliminary objections by respondent were therefore dismissed and the JKRS decision was set aside.
