The charges were quashed because they failed to allege that the principal (Grant Thornton) had an interest in the impugned documents and that it suffered or was at risk of suffering loss as a result of being deceived; further, 'other document' in section 18 must be read ejusdem generis with 'receipt' and 'account' and the director's circular resolutions charged did not fall within that class on the face of the charges, rendering the charges defective and liable to be set aside.
