Prosecution proved all essential ingredients beyond reasonable doubt: chemist report conclusively established drug type and weights (561.66g Cannabis; 17.80g Etizolam), DNA and scene evidence established accused’s possession, control and knowledge of drugs found in a locked separate room, chain of custody remained intact, and statutory presumption of trafficking under s37(da)(vi) applied; defence evidence was unreliable (afterthought, bare denial) and key defence witness SD2 was impeached and excluded, therefore convictions on both counts are upheld.
