The Court held that a registered society may sue or be sued through its public officer under the Societies Act; a change of public officer does not render proceedings invalid and the current public officer has locus to swear affidavits even if the intitulement names a former public officer; the intitulement may be amended to substitute the current public officer as a rectifiable irregularity; no special circumstances existed to justify a stay of the High Court proceedings, therefore the stay application was refused and the challenge to the deponent's locus was dismissed.
