On maximum evaluation the prosecution proved identity and quantity of drugs by expert analysis and established possession, control and knowledge by direct evidence (including seizure from hands and Defendant 1 producing and handing over the purple bag). The packetised quantities permitted an inference of intent to distribute. Chain of custody and minor weight/packaging discrepancies did not create reasonable doubt. Accordingly Defendant 1 is guilty of trafficking under s39B DDA and possession under s12 DDA; Defendant 2 is not guilty of trafficking but guilty of possession under s12 DDA.
