The award of the Land Administrator was insufficient because it failed to consider injurious affection and consequential loss to the whole house and the applicant's need to relocate; under paragraph 2(d)/(e) of the First Schedule to the Land Acquisition Act 1960 and Article 13(2) of the Federal Constitution, the court must award reasonable compensation for damage likely to be sustained. The court therefore granted the applicant an additional RM15,000 and made no order for interest by agreement of the applicant.
