The court allowed PTL to intervene and set aside the High Court Orders dated 23.5.2018 because PTL demonstrated a direct legal and pecuniary interest that would be affected; the impugned orders required PTL to pay dividends to non-shareholders in breach of s.140 of the Labuan Companies Act 1990 and thus were void for illegality; the court has inherent jurisdiction to set aside such orders ex debito justitiae and res judicata/ functus officio did not bar relief.
