The court held that r.90(1)(e) requires lodging sufficient copies of the bankruptcy notice for sealing and service, not lodging and serving all accompanying documents to the debtor; any formal non-compliance was curable and did not cause substantial injustice under s.131 BA 1967 and r.282 Insolvency Rules 2017; the Assistant Registrar’s sealing is prima facie evidence of compliance under s.114 Evidence Act 1950. Accordingly the appeals were dismissed and the bankruptcy notices upheld.
