The High Court held the annexed invoices were detailed bills (not gross sum bills), the statutory time limits for taxation under the LPA had expired and the plaintiff's conduct (delay and participation in subsequent trials) did not justify exercising inherent jurisdiction to extend time; further s121(2) excludes taxation of fees attributable to a senior counsel briefed to the matter, therefore the plaintiff's originating summons for taxation was dismissed.
