On the material before the court the appellant failed to show a real danger of bias: the viral media document was hearsay of doubtful credibility, the trial judge disavowed reliance on any third‑party draft and had prepared his own judgment, and the refusal to adjourn was within judicial discretion given the urgency and the respondent's approach; accordingly the recusal application and the appeal were dismissed and the High Court decision of 1.9.2022 was affirmed.
