On maximum evaluation the Sessions Court proved all ingredients of offences under ss.14(a)/(b) read with s.16 SOAC Act beyond reasonable doubt; trial judge properly assessed credibility and demeanour of child and mother witnesses, applied statutory provisions on child evidence, and reasonably rejected the appellant's defence as bare denial; sentencing fell within correct exercise of discretion and was not manifestly excessive, therefore appeals dismissed and convictions and sentences affirmed.
