The ADM lawfully applied s72 to permit representative testimony, the written employment contracts unambiguously entitled respondents to the basic wage from arrival, the appellant failed to prove conditional payment or substantiated advances and deductions, and the High Court found no basis to disturb the ADM's findings as they were not plainly wrong; accordingly the appeals were dismissed and the ADM's awards allowing wages and overtime were affirmed.

The High Court held the ADM correctly applied s72 to allow representative evidence, correctly construed the clear contractual terms entitling basic wages from arrival, and properly found the Appellant failed to prove wages were conditional on work or that lawful advances justified deductions; absent a plainly wrong finding by the ADM, appellate intervention was not warranted; therefore the ADM's decision allowing respondents' wage claims was affirmed.
