The court exercised its wide discretion under Order 20 r 5 and Order 15 r 6 to allow the proposed amendments and to add Theng Bok as the 6th defendant because the additional particulars arose from the same facts pleaded against the existing defendants, the amendments were bona fide and did not change the character of the suit, and Theng Bok was a necessary party for effectual and complete adjudication; any inconvenience could be met by costs though the court made no order as to costs in this application.
