The appeal on liability is allowed: the trial judge erred in applying the standard rear-end collision principle to apportion 20% liability to the appellants where the lead vehicle was first struck by the third party and spun into the appellants; liability is reallocated 100% to the third party. On quantum, the appeal succeeds only in respect of the nursing care awards to Plaintiffs 2 and 3 which lacked proper evidentiary foundation and are set aside; all other damage awards are upheld.
