Prosecution failed to prove beyond prima facie standard that the accuseds had custody, control and knowledge of the seized drugs: police evidence on location and proximity of the bag was inconsistent and unsupported by contemporaneous photographs, sketches or fingerprint analysis; room was accessible to others; chemist evidence unchallenged but insufficient alone to establish possession. Therefore no prima facie case and accuseds discharged without being called to enter defence.
