The Court found the guilty pleas were validly entered and that the learned trial judge and Judicial Commissioner did not err in principle or facts in imposing the sentences; the offences were distinct so consecutive sentences were justified; the aggregate imprisonment of 20 years was not manifestly excessive; however execution of whipping must be capped at 24 strokes under s.288 CPC.
