Appellant's voluntary guilty plea precluded an appeal against conviction under s.305 CPC; there was no error in the sentencing exercise and the 4 years imprisonment and one stroke were appropriate in view of the seriousness and domestic-violence context, therefore sentence affirmed; court has jurisdiction under the Domestic Violence Act 1994 to issue protection and ancillary orders and did so.
