Act A1462 is constitutionally valid because its purpose (annual inflation adjustment via fixed 2% increment and permissive higher adjustment) is distinct from P.U.(A)59/2016 (salary revision to attract serving judges), the exclusion of retirees from P.U.(A)59/2016 is a reasonable classification proportionate to legitimate objectives under Article 8, and the respondents failed to establish that Act A1462 caused an unlawful disadvantage sufficient to invalidate it under Article 125(7)/(9).
