    On the evidence presented the court found on the balance of probabilities that the meter had been tampered with (direct bypass connections proved by inspection and clamp readings), that the defendant was the registered consumer for the supply at the premises during the relevant period, that TNB's calculation of undercharged consumption using the Maximum Demand method was reasonable and corroborated by witnesses and exhibits, and that under s.38(5) Electricity Supply Act 1990 the computed amount is recoverable; accordingly judgment is entered for TNB for RM158,346.70 plus interest and costs.
